CASTLETON -- Vincent F. Simons of Hillview Terrace, died Monday, July 6, 1998 at the age of 83. He was a graduate of the former Roessleville High School and attended Stephen St. John's School of Music in Schenectady. Mr. Simons was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Panama Canal Zone and in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from F.C. Huyck Co. in Rensselaer in 1976. He was a member of the National Camper's and Hiker's Association, the Southern Tier Service Center, the Troubadors, the Tri County Banjo Band and the Emmanuel Reformed Church of Castleton.
