Fed: National road toll reaches 50
The national road toll for the holiday period has climbed to 50, with the deaths of
two men in separate accidents in Queensland yesterday.
A 19-year-old man was killed in a single-car accident on the Pacific Motorway near
Loganholme, on Brisbane's southern fringe.
Separately, a man, 22, died from fatal injuries he suffered in a crash at the Toowong
roundabout in Brisbane's west.
A police spokesman says the man was a passenger in a car that hit a pylon under the
