Fed; BHP strike threatens to spread

MELBOURNE, Feb 25 AAP - A BHP Steel workers strike appeared certain to spread thisweek with the potential to force tens of thousands of stand-downs in related industries,unions said today.
Workers at BHP's Wingfield Service Centre in South Australia vowed to continue theirstrike after walking off the job last Thursday.
Workers at 15 sites around the country joined the walk-out with most returning to workafter 48 hours.
